Our Iniative is a prototype of our previous Palms of Hallandale Beach Weed and Seed with four main councils which executes the community services:
1. Intergenerational Resident Leadership Academy, is a grassroots leadership training based on the curruculum written by Mrs Corita Brown, of CFAA. This currulum is combined with local successful leaders who will facilitate a one day orientation session, then once per week for eight weeks. Participants are teen agers, middle age, and seniors all working together to learn skills and become motivated to serve the community.
2. Community Policing is a group of residents combined with the local police department to conduct community forums to deal with issues related to police and residents. This council's main goal is to build positive relationships between the residents and the Hallandale Beach Police Department.
3. Community Event Council is a group of residents who are charged with presenting exciting and inovative educational, cultural and motivitational activities for residents of all ages to enjoy. Events include, Hope For The Holiday, Men Who Cook, Back To School Giveaways, MLK Celebrations, and many others.
4. Economic Empowerment Council works closely with the CRA department at the City of Hallandale Beach to ensure local inclusion in redevelopment in the community. Conduct local clean up, house painting for the elderly and recommendating activities for job creation.
