Key strategies used to address issue(s)

  • Provide a leadership academy to build life skills, self-esteem in residents and increase their ability to address community issues;
  • Publication of bi-monthly community newsletter in English/Spanish to inform the residents of opportunities in all areas; and
  • Education of service providers in the community regarding the Communities for All Ages initiative through the leadership and modeling of the the CFAA Advisory Council members.

Major activities planned for this year

  1. Publication and distributions of 24, 000 bi-monthly newsletters publication
  2. Conduct 4 English, 2 Spanish, hold the 3rd Annual Graduate Leadership AcademyConference, hold the Annual Graduate Re-union.
  3. Provide a minimum of 12 presentations to CFAA Advisory member organization employees and/or other providers to understand and embrace the initiative.

What do you hope will be different because of your CFAA work?

A clean, safe community with leaders who can and will vocalize the area concerns as they occur or on-going basis through neighborhood groups such as the Community Action team.
