San Clemente, the southernmost city in Orange County, like many Orange County cities, it has been experiencing changing demographics and population growth with ever-increasing Latino and low-income populations. Central San Clemente is part of the city’s federally funded Community Development Block Grant areas, is part of the San Clemente gang injunction and has been identified by local hospitals as one of the highest needs areas in South County.
Our People:
Our Strengths: San Clemente has a rich community fabric with lots of community organizations, churches and hospitals that are working together throught he San Clemente Collaborative. The police department and city staff work closely with residents to create changes and improvements in the community. There are many community leaders who volunteer their time to make San Clemente a great place to live. These residents help make San Clemente a more inclusive and healthy place to live. It is because of these key leaders from different segments of the community that San Clemente is a wonderful place to launch the Communities for All Ages initiative.

Our Communities for All Ages:
We have four unique groups working to make the Communities for All Ages a successful team: a youth group of middle and high school students, a senior group, an adult/parent group and a partners group made of of community leaders and organizations. All the groups came together for a community forum and decided that parenting education was their combined priority. The group is now meeting together as one team on a regular basis.
